Large, public reputable company in Los Angeles is looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Close the US and Canada books in a timely, complete, and accurate manner each month
Analyze the US and Canada results and perform appropriate management reporting of such results on a monthly basis
Manage and support worldwide entries, analyses and reporting relating to Capital Expenses, Deferred Executive Compensation, Major Events and Worldwide Promotions and Hypothetical Taxes on Expatriate Employees
Develop and utilize financial reports and analyses to facilitate accurate, complete and timely financial reporting of results
Provide department budget actuals support to Corporate Finance, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax and Treasury department heads
Handle or assist with special projects as needed, primarily to support the areas of Worldwide Finance, US and Canada: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
Liaise extensively with Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Income Tax, Corporate Consolidations/Reporting and other groups to drive collaborative process improvements and enhanced financial analysis relating to the US and Canada financial statements
Develop and maintain a robust outward-reaching approach to facilitate strong internal relationships, and foster this approach throughout the team
Mentor and develop direct and indirect reports
Job Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP

IFRS knowledge
8-12 years of experience in combined corporate and public accounting
5 years of management experience in accounting roles
