A well known public
company in Los Angeles is looking for an Assistant Controller.
This key position will have responsibility for
both reporting and accounting support functions focusing on developing
new processes to automate the reporting function, the monthly
close process and other accounting support processes.
This person should have a strong financial background
with prior experience in managing large teams and building departments
through automation and best practices.
This person will lead a team of specialized
accounting staff based at the corporate offices in Los Angeles,
reporting results to senior financial management and will be an
integral link between the corporate financial team and the Company's
other business operations.
This person will also drive process improvement
projects consistent with best practices, conduct research to benchmark
operational performance against similar companies, perform ongoing
measurement of departments performance and set targets for achieving
operational excellence This person will proactively identify reporting
performance challenges and facilitate the development and execution
of improvements.
